News 8/8/05 - It's been awhile since I've updated the site but I'm doing it now. I've mainly just been keeping up our Myspace page (www.myspace.com/moloch1) because it seems like no one comes to this site anymore, sign the guestbook guys! Our demo is finlly finished so be on the lookout for those to go up for sale. Pick em up at the shows, we are going to be getting shirts made hopefully soon. Everyone go to the shows and support local music. -Moloch ______________________________________ 7/10/05 - Hey guys it is now update time, it's 4:57 am right now and we are wide awake. The whole band is at Rob's house. Our show at the House of Rock tonight went pretty good, the venue is fucking crazy cool but more people need to get their asses out to the shows! We went on too early, there wasn't that many people there when we took the stage and people were showing up during our set. Daryl and Andrew pretty much got kicked out right after our set because they weren't 18 and Corpus has an "11 o'clock" curfew. So pretty much we're etched in to open everytime because we have minors in the band. Daryl will be turing 18 August 16th so he will be legal ladies, hehe. Nah he's got a woman that he's happy with, but Rob and Franklin are single and looking! We would like to thank Sandy's Mug Room and Lost for booking us to play the Music Fest (Freedom Rocks) show on Sunday July 3rd, we had a fucking blast. They liked us so much that they booked us for two more shows on Aug. 4th, and Sept. 29th with Lost. Lost is a group of incredible fucking people, they support us out the ass and they put on a kick ass show. Go check those guys out, www.lostmc.com and www.myspace.com/lostmc. Tonight was not Franklin's night at all. We left House of Rock after our sound check to kill time and go eat some burger king. Well Franklin decides to run a red light and t-bones a truck in the intersection. It was crazy, his hood was all smashed in and wouldn't close right but everyone was fine, the only damage to the truck was a little scratch. After conversing with the cops we left to get some burger king and went back to play the show. On the way back Franklin was coming over the harbor bridge and his hood flew up and smashed in his front windshield, needless to say they were both a little shaken up about the whole ordeal but everyone is fine....for now, Franklin still has to confront his dad about it, we will keep you posted on the details. We'll be finishing up in the studio hopefully sometime this week so be on the lookout for that shit. Also we are going into the studio this Saturday to record a seven track demo so be on the lookout for that. We are also getting shirts made and hopefully stickers and buttons also. Thanks. -Daryl (Moloch) ______________________________________ 5/18/05 - Hey everyone we have some songs that are now up on myspace (www.myspace.com/christopherrobbin), keep in mind that these are really really rough recordings done with the original lineup (Daryl-guitar, Franklin-vox, and Josh-drums) we posted them so people can get a feeling of how we sound. Also with the addition of Andrew, the drummer who would kick Moses's ass without flinching and double kick flawlessly while doing so, there has been a lineup change. Since our good friend and bass player Billy Tran is leaving for Art school at the end of June or something like that, Rob will be taking his place on bass and concentrating on the singing/softer vocals. Since his screams suck balls. Josh, the old drummer will be doing the screaming from here on out with the help of Daryl also on backup. As soon as things are set with the new lineup we will be going into the studio to professionally record, so you can say goodbye to the crap up now. 5/3/05 - Hey guys just stopping by to tell you about the show this weekend. Saturday May 7th we will be playing at Equal Eyez with Hundred Year Storm, Amalgam Mode, and The Jinx. Come out and support the bands by bringing all of your friends. It is an ALL AGES SHOW and will be about $5 at the door, it will be starting around 7-8ish pm but be there before 8. So come out Saturday and support live music at Equal Eyez. -Daryl

4/11/05 - Hello people Daryl here, we have a few updates for you. Update #1: you can now access the site by going to www.moloch.cjb.net. Update #2: The show at Equal Eyez went great, not all of the kids were there yet when we went on but there was a decent crowd, be on the lookout for more shows there and be sure to check them out. 3/26/05 - What's up guys, we are making a few changes to this site now because I was finally able to log on and do so, we have some shows up and some new pictures so be sure to check those out. We are sticking with the name Moloch despite what others may think, we as a band like it more than Scars Like Yours or Sir Christopher Robbin, however if I understand correctly the flyers for the show at Equal Eyez on the 8th will be displaying Sir Christopher Robbin instead of Moloch. So check back because I'll probally post that up here soon, until then I'm out. -Daryl

3/21/05 - Hey everyone incase you haven't noticed the bands new name is Moloch, the reason we chose this name is we were going for something a little more serious and what could be more serious than a god that people sacrificed their children to? (Moloch was the god of the Ammonites, portrayed as a bronze statue with a calf's head adorned with a royal crown and seated on a throne. His arms were extended to receive the child victims sacrificed to him. Milton wrote that Moloch was a frightening and terrible demon covered with mothers' tears and children's blood. Rabbis claim that in the famous statue of Moloch, there were seven kinds of cabinets. The first was for flour, the second for turtle doves, the third for an ewe, the fourth for a ram, the fifth for a calf, the sixth for a beef, and the seventh for a child. It is because of this, Moloch is associated with Mithras and his seven mysterious gates with seven chambers. When a child was sacrificed to Moloch, a fire was lit inside the statue. The priests would then beat loudly on drums & other objects so that the cries would not be heard. 3/16/05 - What's up people just stopping by to let you know that the website is being updated on a regular basis and we now have individual bio's up and a whole lot more. We are in the process of rewriting some of the songs and writing new material with two guitar parts and I have to say it is sounding badass.
